Summer in Ladakh (April till June, Temperature 5°C to 25°C)
Ladakh's summer season commences in April and extends through June. At 5°C, the minimum temperature is only experienced in April, with temperatures soaring to as high as 25°C. May marks the onset of the tourist season. The summer weather is ideal for sightseeing, engaging in various adventurous activities, and exploring numerous destinations throughout Ladakh, as all of them are accessible during this period.

Winter in Ladakh (late October-February, Temperature -5°C to 10°C)
Ladakh's winter season lasts from late October to February, with temperatures dropping as low as 10°C. This period often experiences heavy snowfall, leading to road closures. Choosing to visit Ladakh during winter provides the opportunity to enjoy stunning frozen scenery, take part in the famous Chadar Trek along the frozen Zanskar River, increase chances of spotting snow leopards as they come down to the valleys in search of prey, and participate in various festivals, many of which are celebrated during this season.

Note: One must note that temperatures in Hemis National Park will drop further and we are expecting temperatures of about -25c to -30°C during the night and - 30°C during the day. Historically it hasn't been lower than this.
